Hey there! I’m Jerry Dear–a librarian, well, I prefer the term information strategist at the San Francisco Public Library. I also teach in the Library Information Technology Department at City College of San Francisco where I currently teach Internet Research Strategies.
Discovering and developing online research strategies has always been a professional passion of mine, so this blog is designed to highlight some of the practical and intriguing Web resources out on the Web.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading graphic novels (Sandman, Fables, Mage, etc.), watching anime series, reading supernatural and suspense thrillers, journaling, and basically keeping my mind intellectually engaged.
Finally, in case you were curious, I define an Information Strategist as one who specializes in the art and science of online searching to engineer Internet research strategies designed to expedite the finding and retrieval of high-quality, Web-based information.
